Is the Tag Rescue service a subscription service?
Tag Rescue offers an online lost and found subscription service.The price of any Tag Rescue Product Pack includes the first 12 month subscription. After 12 months you can choose to renew the subscription for subsequent 12 month periods for only $7.95 no matter how many Tags you have activated on your account.
How does the Tag Rescue service work?
Tag Rescue provides a secure online lost and found item recovery service. If you have activated your unique tag ID and someone reports it found, we will notify you so you can arrange to have your item securely returned. We will also offer the finder a reward for his or her good deed. Everybody wins!
What is the cost of the Tag Rescue service?
There are a number of Tag Rescue product packages available on the website. The prices of these package Subscriptions do vary but you will be pleasantly surprised as to how little each of the product package subscriptions cost. The first year’s subscription fee is included in the price of the tags and labels contained in the product pack that you have selected.
Are there any annual subscription costs?
The Tag Rescue subscription is valid for 12 Months. At the end of the 12 month period you can renew your subscription for a further 12 months for only $7.95.
Why do I need to activate my unique tag ID and create an account?
If you do not activate your tags and supply contact details we will be unable to arrange for a found item to be returned to you. Please ensure that the contact details you supply when registering your account or are entered correctly and kept up to date as we will rely on these details to notify you when your lost item has been found.
How do I purchase a Tag Rescue subscription service?
You can purchase a tag rescue subscription service at www.tagrescue.com.au. Just follow the prompts on the website. You will be able to see the full range of product packages available on our website.
I am a Tag Rescue Customer and I have lost a Tagged item. What do I need to do?
So sorry to hear that you have lost something. You do not need to do anything to notify us of the loss. Just ensure we have your up to date contact details so that we can contact you as soon as someone reports your lost item found.
I have found an item with a Tag Rescue tag attached to it. How do I get it back to its rightful owner?
Thank you for doing the right thing. To ensure that the item gets returned to it’s rightful owner please go to Tagrescue.com.au, and click on the ‘Found an Item’ button where you can leave your contact details. At the end of the process you will qualify for a reward.
How do I get a reward for finding a Tag Rescue item and assisting getting it back to its rightful owner?
Thank you for doing the right thing. As soon as we have successfully notified our customer, we will be in contact with you. Tag Rescue will reward you for your good deed as soon as our customer has the item back safe and sound.
How secure is the online lost and found Service provided by Tag Rescue? Is my privacy protected?
We will at all times protect your privacy and will not provide your personal details to anyone who finds your lost tagged item. Instead our process rewards a finder for their good deed and we provide you the contact details of the finder so that you can securely arrange for the return of your lost item.
Why would anyone want to return my lost items to me?
It is pleasantly surprising to see how many honest people there are. Most of the time lost items are not returned to their rightful owner because the person that has found the item does not know who the item belongs to. That’s where tag rescue comes in. We securely arrange to get your lost item back to you safely through our online lost and found service at Tagrescue.com.au.
Can you guarantee that if anyone finds my tagged items, that I will get them back?
No. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee a successful recovery every time an item is lost. While we expect that if someone finds your lost item they will report it to us most of the time, we simply cannot guarantee that this will happen every time.
Will The tag rescue lost and found service work when I am out of Australia?
Absolutely. The Tag Rescue online service will work for you wherever you may be and even while you are travelling outside of Australia. Provided that the item has an activated tag attached and that you have access to your emails, Tag Rescue will be able to notify you if someone finds a lost item.
How do I change any of my personal details such as my contact mobile phone number or my email address?
Any changes to your personal details can easily be made in your account on the tag rescue website. You can securely access your account via a password in order to make these changes. The tag rescue notification process relies on your details being up to date so that we can notify you when an item is found. It is your sole responsibility to keep your contact details up to date on your account.
How do I order additional tags or labels so that I can protect more items with the Tag Rescue service?
You can order additional tags on our website. If you are an existing Tag Rescue customer and have an active Tag Rescue subscription service, you can purchase additional tags in the “My Account” section on the website. This will ensure that any new tags are linked to your existing subscription service.
How do I get a replacement tag?
The Tag Rescue tags are of high quality material and have proven to be extremely durable. In the unlikely event that a tag is damaged you can purchase a new tag in the “My Account” section on the website.
I recently reported that I had found a tagged item but I am not sure what I was meant to do next?
Once you have notified us that you have found a Tag Rescue tagged item we do our best to immediately notify our customer of the good news and put them in contact with you to arrange the safe return of their lost item. As soon as our customer has his item back safe and sound we will reward you for your good deed.
Is it possible for me to get some Tag Rescue tags branded with my company logo to use as promotional value added gifts?

Will tag rescue be sending me a lot of emails?
Tag Rescue will confirm certain transactions with you via email. Tag Rescue will also use your email as a primary method of contacting you when a lost item is found. It is therefore essential that your email address is up-to-date as we cannot contact you if we have incorrect contact details in our system. Occasionally Tag Rescue may send you information about other products and services but we assure you that this will be done on an infrequent basis.
I no longer want to subscribe to the Tag Rescue service. What do I need to do to cancel my subscription?
You can cancel your subscription service at any time by contacting us through the Tag Rescue website. Just send us a message and we will cancel the service. Once cancelled all Tags linked to the account will be deactivated. If you decide not to renew your subscription for the subsequent 12 month periods the service will automatically be cancelled.
Why is the online Tag Rescue service better than me just putting my personal details on my valuable items?
It is important that you protect your privacy from strangers. The Tag Rescue unique tag identifier protects your personal information ensuring that lost items are recovered securely. We never provide a finder with your personal details.
Please tell me how to apply the Tag Rescue labels?
The Tag Rescue key and bag tag can be attached to a keyring or a bag using the key ring or cable tie included in the pack. The tag rescue label needs to be applied to a clean, dry, and flat surface area on the item to be protected. The label cannot be reused once it has been applied.
Can I reuse a Tag Rescue label?
While a Tag Rescue key tag may be transferred to another set of keys at any time, the tag rescue adhesive label cannot be reused and a new label will need to be purchased for attachment to another item.
Please explain the difference between purchase and activate?
The purchase process on the Tag Rescue website allows for the purchase of the Tag Rescue product packs and subscription service. It is only once you have received your tags in the mail that you’re able to link specific tag identity numbers to specific items. It is during the activation process that you provide us specific contact details for each tagged item so that we can contact you in the event that the lost item is found. Without activating the tags we have no way of knowing who to contact if a tagged item is found.
